Mr. Paukin,

Read with great interest ‘Taxing….’.I would argue that the endless regulation paradigm running recklessly against profit making industries is the primary culpret along with minimum wage diktat has inexorably forced migration of manufacturing to other less regulated countries. These have carved out the basic maufacturing entities in this country. Intense and large scale labor labor force is unlikely salvageable in our current environment. The regulatory environment will be extremely difficult to reduce given the political acceptance of this most destructive process.

Whenever I hear both the government and the news media repeatedly telling us that our manufacturing jobs are gone for good, I want to scream at the top of my voice “LIARS”. There’s no reason we can’t compete within the framework of a level playing field. If the numbers I just read above prove accurate, we should implement the policy ASAP.

I heard you on 90.5 today in the DFW area mentioning how conservatives need to hold off the Romney forces, and reminding us of his attempts to out-Kennedy Kennedy in 1994. You’re absolutely right, Mitt’s problems are not his being Mormon, not being a rich kid, not even Romneycare, but that he DOESN’T care about anything except getting elected and thus can’t be trusted. You’re a great man, Tom. Keep on keeping on.
